Environmental Management SystemThe environmental management system of RAVAS Europe B.V. has been an integral part of the management system for some years now. As part of the environmental management system, we systematically identify environmental aspects and develop appropriate environmental goals and programs.Our environmental objectives focus on the issues of energy consumption, improved development of materials and waste management as well as environmentally-friendly product design. This environmental management system is implemented according to the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard and certified by an external certification company. Furthermore, all RAVAS Europe B.V. suppliers and contract manufacturers are expected to have a documented environmental management system in place and, through RAVAS Europe B.V.s’ strict set of environmental standards, are also integrated into its environmental policy and principles. MaterialsAll materials used in RAVAS Europe B.V. products comply with the requirements of existing regulations, e.g. RoHS (restriction of certain hazardous substances) directive 2002/95/EC of the European Union.According to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 ("REACH") all our products are an article (Article 3 No 3) which do not contain a substance which is intended to be released under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use (Article 7(1)). As far as we know at present the product does not contain any substance above 0.1 mass-% that meets the criteria in Article 57 and could be included identified in accordance with Article 59(1). Our products are shipped only in packaging, such as Pesticide-free wooden packaging cases, collapsible, reusable Cardboard boxes. End of LifeAt every stage of the product life cycle, from manufacturing till end of use phase, RAVAS Europe B.V. is looking for ways to reuse and recycle materials as well as dispose waste safely according to the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard.
